Bridals: Melissa Rhodes
Jonah and Melissa: you’re hockin’ incredible. You guys are probably more responsible for inflating my stupid ego more than anyone else in this world.
I can’t tell you how much of a pleasure it was working for you guys. I’m wrapping up the wedding set right now, so that should be blogged here within another week. I just wanted to share Melissa’s bridals on the blog beforehand.
Thank you guys!
I know this one’s already in here, but I loved the B&W version (predictably):

Bridals: Ashley Netherton
I’m finally blogging Ashley’s bridals! Ashley and Chris were great to work with; they’re both great laid-back types who smile and joked enough to make you feel at home. It was a pleasure shooting your pictures, guys!
Their wedding pictures will be blogged very soon as well (I’ve got a bit more work on some photos to finish up).
Note: for those watching, I had previously been using my logo-free frames for pictures on Flickr and the blogs. For whatever reason I was using the wrong templates, so I’ve gone back to using the business frame for all business-related images.

Chris and Jana – Wedding
November 1, 2008
I didn’t just shoot a wedding, I shot two of my old, old, old friends’ wedding. The guitar hero and the patient teacher finally wed after years of everyone uttering, “It’s only a matter of time…”
Well the time has come and gone, but the memories as a guest, a friend, and as photographer are something I’ll have forever. Chris and Jana, I can’t just thank you guys…I have to let you know that the two of you are more important to myself, Shari, and the church than you could possibly imagine.
I love you both. Thank you for your friendship (and the opportunity).

Bridals: Jana Adcock
It’s still so funny to write out Jana’s new last name.
We had the unique privilege of taking Jana’s bridals at the legendary Aunt Gene’s Farm. It was a gorgeous day at a gorgeous place, and I considered it an honor to be able to shoot the engagements, bridals, and wedding of two of my best friends. Thank y’all so much!
Their wedding pictures should be coming up before the end of the week, but I wanted to get these out there, since I’m no longer under bridal shot embargo.

LeBron
The article that I saw this image in isn’t particularly important, but I just had to share it.
Basketball is a more personal sport than most. With baseball, the action is usually too far away and everyone looks the same from that distance. With football, there are helmets, pads, and tons of grass between the players and the fans. With hockey, there is a glass barricade, beards (at least during the playoffs), and quarts of blood to impede the connection. In NASCAR, the track is the size of your neighborhood, with the drivers in fireproof suits and helmets, traveling ’round the track hundreds and hundreds of times, ALWAYS TO THE LEFT!
In basketball, there are no helmets or facemasks; you can read each emotion on the player’s face. You can get close enough to smell the sweat. You can hear them as they release frustration or call for the ball. It’s so up close and personal.
This picture demonstrates that intimate setting perfectly. I’ve not been the biggest fan over the past 10 years or so, but it’s hard to let go of the sport that you first loved.

Andre Carbo
My blog has been void of new photographic material lately. Most of what I’ve been doing has been bridals that are under embargo for the next few weeks. That being said, I’m happy to be able to share Andre’s set!
Andre is from Destrehan (New Orleans area), and is one of the coolest, craziest, nicest guys you’ll ever meet.
Thanks to Andre and his family for being so awesome (and patient)! You guys rock!
Introducing…FREDERICK!!!
He has an afro and a tail (lyrics stolen directly from his official theme song).

Jonah & Melissa
I had a great time reconnecting with an old friend and meeting his fiance to take their engagement pictures a few weekends ago. Her bridals are coming up, and it’s going to be a veeeeeeeeeery cool location.
I’m looking forward to it! Thanks so much for trusting me with this huge event in your lives! See you soon.
And, of course…

Chris & Jana
I’ve been looking forward to this job for a loooong time. I was looking forward to this wedding before I even started the whole photography thing, actually. My two good friends, Chris and Jana, are finally getting married!
I had a great time shooting with them, and wish them decades of happiness and “intense fellowship.” Heh heh…
Love you guys.
